Kenya is a bird watchers paradise , with over 1080-recorded bird species to be observed in their different habitats.Flamingos, pelicans and storks are in abundance on the lakes while birds of prey are widely observed widely in the North and south of the equator. Preserved rainforests  are ultimate areas for bird watching .One of the unforgettable sight is that you can spot on bird watching tours are the spectacular flocks of pink flamingos that cover the lakes of Kenya. Lake Nakuru and Lake Bogoria in Kenya shelter the largest bird populations.

It  is important to note that there is a variety of bird life in Kenya; they range from the tiny weaver birds, to the giant ostrich. Some of the tinny birds that may be spotted on the tours include; sparrows, weaver birds, finches, pipits, sun birds, babblers, flycatchers, shrikes, orioles and robins. These mainly live in the open grasslands. However, there are other birds that one can se in Kenya, of which include; plovers, owls, lapwings, doves, cuckoos, horn bills, ducks, barbets, woodpeckers, quail, and guinea fowl.
